Video Clips

As I continue to expand my experience in broadcast journalism and documentary film, here are some video clips of my work.

I pitched and produced a story that aired nationally on CBS Evening News.

I pitched and fully produced this story that aired on CBS Evening News. The writing, reporting, filming, editing, and graphics, all came together to highlight the importance of giving foster kids the resources they deserve to achieve their educational and personal goals. I took on the role of a producer by pre-interviewing sources, booking multiple shoots, coordinating with crew,  and worked on the story's script, interview questions, and edit.

I covered a Republican Presidential Debate

As a reporter for my school's newscast, I hustled to get access to covering the 2nd Republican presidential debate for the 2024 election. I interviewed candidates, campaign surrogates, and debate attendees.

Juhi at the White House

As a recipient of the 2023 White House Correspondents' Association and Asian American Journalists Association Scholarship, I participated in an on-the-record press briefing and directed a question to White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre.

I asked about what President Biden says to those who have lost loved ones to gun violence, as hopes for Congressional action has remained dim.

My work for Chapman News

I put together this package about Florida Governor Ron DeSantis's event at the Reagan Library in Simi Valley. I shot, edited, interviewed subjects, and reported this story.

Covered Breaking News

I covered the historic nature of the charges facing former President Donald Trump on the day of his arraignment and what his indictment could mean for the upcoming 2024 presidential election.

This was a breaking news story that I quickly assembled as news broke of the charges minutes before I was on air. I learned how to follow a developing story and provided the most up-to-date information while being on a tight deadline.

Juhi at the WHCA Dinner

I attended the White House Correspondents' Dinner as a scholarship recipient and broke dow the key moments from the dinner as well as my own experience being at the event.

I have a passion for character-driven stories

I went along with the team at Good Karma Los Angeles—a local nonprofit that had given out over 50,000 meals to the 4,000+ people who live on LA’s Skid Row. The nonprofit was launched by a Los Angeles firefighter, Vishal Narayan, and his father, a retired truck driver originally from India.

Interviewed a State Senator

I interviewed State Senator Josh Newman, who has filed the DUPE Act, a solution that he hopes will try to deter any elected official in California from duping voters. This is in response to the controversy that has consumed New York Congressman George Santos at the nation's capital.

The Supreme Court agreed to hear two challenges to President Joe Biden's unprecedented plan to forgive up to $20,000 in student debt for tens of millions of Americans. Check out my VOSOTVO on this story.

Covered a local congressional race

I spoke to Cheyenne Hunt, a 25-year-old TikTok influencer who if elected would be the first Gen Z woman elected to Congress. She is running in an attempt to flip the 45th district blue. I also interviewed Aditya Pai--the third Democrat who entered the race in hope of becoming the district's first South Asian representative.

As the political reporter for Chapman News, I put together a VOSOTVO on the 2024 California Senate Race.

I directed 2 questions to Gov. Gavin Newsom at a press conference.

See minutes 38:07 and 40:40. I was the first to get Newsom's comments on whether or not the state was planning on appealing a ruling that overturned a law mandating that more women be appointed to corporate boards.

I moderated a discussion with Rep. Katie Porter on voting and democratic reforms as a freshman and intern for A Starting Point and BridgeUSA. See the link below!
